Fused Cast AZS Block

Fused Cast AZS Block
Details:
Fused Cast AZS Blocks are manufactured through a specialized fusion casting process. High-purity alumina powder and zircon sand are melted in an electric furnace, then cast into molds and allowed to cool, forming a dense and homogenous structure. This process results in a material with a compact microstructure, high strength, and excellent resistance to thermal shock and corrosion. The blocks are available in various grades, such as AZS-33#, AZS-36#, and AZS-41#, each offering different levels of corrosion resistance and thermal stability.

Product technology:

The production of Fused Cast AZS Brick involves advanced technology and precision engineering:

azs brick production process

Key steps include:

The production of Fused Cast AZS Blocks brick is a meticulous process that ensures the material's high performance and durability. It involves several stages: technical study, composition, fusion, shaping, annealing, finishing, and pre-assembly. Initially, high-purity raw materials such as industrial alumina powder and zircon sand are selected and blended with precision. These materials are then melted in an electric arc furnace at temperatures ranging from 1800℃ to 1900℃. The molten material is cast into sand molds and allowed to cool slowly in a controlled environment to prevent defects like shrinkage and cracks. The final product is inspected, cleaned, and finished to meet the required specifications.

FAQ

Q: Why chooset Fused Cast AZS Block over traditional refractory materials?

A: Fused cast AZS blocks offers significantly higher density, lower porosity, and better corrosion resistance - resulting in longer service life and reduced maintenance costs.

Q: What's the typical service life in glass furnace applications?

A: Depending on operating conditions, our AZS bricks typically last 5-8 years in glass tank applications - 2-3 times longer than sintered alternatives.

Q: How does the 41% ZrO₂ grade compare to standard 33%?

A: The 41% grade provides superior corrosion resistance for aggressive glass compositions (especially high-alkali glasses) but comes at a higher cost. Our engineers can help select the optimal grade.

Q: Can you provide custom azs brick shapes and sizes?

A: Yes, we offer complete customization services including special shapes, sizes, and machining to exact specifications.

Q: Can I customize the size and shape of these bricks?

A: Yes, we offer customizable dimensions and shapes to meet specific application requirements.

Q: What quality certifications do you maintain?

A: Our production meets ISO 9001, ASTM C621, and EN 993 standards, with full traceability and test reports provided.
