Thermaxcel is a refractory materials manufacturer focused on one thing: keeping high-temperature industrial furnaces running reliably. We supply shaped refractory bricks, monolithic castables, ceramic fiber insulation, and thermal insulation boards to steel mills, cement plants, glass furnaces, petrochemical and other industrial furnaces facilities across more than 50 countries.

We are not a trading company. Our two manufacturing facilities operate three tunnel kilns with a combined annual capacity of 120,000 tonnes. Every product is made in-house, tested in our own QC laboratories, and shipped with third-party inspection reports available upon request.

23 Years of Refractory Engineering

Founded more than two decades ago, Thermaxcel has built its reputation on a straightforward principle: material performance has to be validated in the field, not just on a datasheet.

Over 23 years, we have supplied refractory lining materials for more than 20 major furnace projects per year - including rotary cement kilns, steel reheating furnaces, electric arc furnace linings, glass regenerators, and petrochemical cracking furnaces. Our engineering team has worked through enough lining failures, unexpected shutdowns, and material substitution challenges to know that furnace conditions vary significantly between plants, even when the nominal specifications look identical.

That experience shapes how we approach every enquiry. Before recommending a material, we ask about operating temperature range, thermal cycling frequency, chemical atmosphere, mechanical loading, and installation constraints. The right refractory for a cement preheater cyclone is rarely the right choice for the kiln burning zone - and we tell customers that directly.

Our product range covers the full lining system - hot face working lining, backup insulation, and expansion joint materials - so customers can source a complete engineered solution from a single supplier rather than coordinating between multiple vendors.

Quality Assurance

Every production batch is tested against ASTM C134, ASTM C830, ISO 1893, and relevant EN standards before shipment. Our three QC laboratories are equipped for cold crushing strength (CCS), modulus of rupture (MOR), apparent porosity, bulk density, permanent linear change (PLC), and refractoriness under load (RUL) testing.

We also hold SGS, TUV, and Intertek certifications, and we routinely facilitate third-party inspection during production for customers who require it - particularly on large project orders.

Engineering Support

Our technical team is available to assist with material selection, lining design review, and installation guidance. For complex projects, we can provide a written engineering assessment covering zone-by-zone material recommendations, expected service life estimates, and heating curve guidelines.

We are not the right supplier for every application. If your operating conditions fall outside the validated range of our products, we will say so and point you in the right direction.
